Environment friendly tableware entered Food Festival on November 27,2005.

(Reporter: Xiao Tonglan) The bio-degradable corn starch tableware made by Kica Entironment Material Co.,Ltd. was ¡°invited to¡±11th Chaoshan Festival, it becomes the focus of this festival.

Guangdong Kica is the only company which produce bio-degradable corn starch tableware in Shantou. Its equipments and prescription are all invented by Mr.Wang Huiqun, one of the excellent scientific talents in Shantou. These tableware¡¯s main raw material is corn starch. Its outlook is white and hygiene, it can be used in microwave oven. It can be burned without any pollution to the environment. Its technic is leading in the world, and fill in the gap in China. This new production line has been listed as ¡°State Level Important & New Product¡±, ¡°State Level Torch Plan Project¡±. It is awarded ¡°The Star of Green Product¡± by China Environment Production Industry Association.

In order to promote the use of environment friendly tableware, the organizer of the Food Festival tried hard to contact Kica company, ¡°invite¡± this Shantou made environment friendly tableware into the Food Festival. All exhibitors response actively and place order with Kica. To meet the urgent demand, and to build up the image of Kica environment friendly tableware, Mr.Wang Huiqun, general manager of Kica, came back form Hong Kong immediately. He organized the production and made a batch of environment friendly lunch boxes, bowls and trays at the night, and sent to the venue of the festival. We reporters see that these Kica made tableware draw great attentions from the participants, and it become the focus of this Food Festival.
