In early 1989, Mr.Wang Huiqun, the founder of Kica, associated with other people, built a small workshop to produce Styrofoam lunch box. This is the predecessor of Kica. Through several years of hard work, the young Mr.Wang Huiqun realized that development should rely on science and technology. In 1997, Mr.Wang knew that the policy of eradicating white pollution would be launched. Base on the mechanical knowledge he learned in the college, he was determined to research and develop a new kind of product, that is bio-degradable corn starch sheet and the products made by this sheet.

After over 200 times of defeat, a new production line for making environment friendly product emerged.

¡°Not regret that the clothes is becoming looser and looser, and the face is becoming haggard ¡±. Mr.Wang Huiqun had only several reports of bio-degradable material, no already built machine for reference. Every morning, he went to the factory at about 7 o¡¯clock, he read books and did experiments. He read many books, such as Macromolecular Chemistry, Microbiology, etc. After one year of reading books, Mr.Wang led his team to begin to do experiments. But at first, the result always played game with them. The extrusion sheet was like a sieve, so many holes. Watching the ¡°fruit¡± made by several hundred days and nights of hard work, Mr.Wang felt so frustrated.

¡°We should not give up. If we can do it better than yesterday, we will have chance.¡± Mr.Wang always encouraged his team members. At that time, he often had lunch and dinner at the office, when he was tired, he took a nap beside the machine. He lost more than 10 kilograms of his weight. During the two to three years, he suffered over 200 times of failure, and invested more than 2 million RMB for trial production. Finally, the Kica Brand Bio-Degradable Corn Starch Sheet Extrusion Machine Units successfully came into the world. Its percentage of bio-degradable material is on the highest level in China.

In order to increase production capacity, Mr. Wang Huiqun went to XiAn Transportation University to consult with some elder professors. He also accumulated experiences from his repeat experiments. Finally, he invented macromolecule technical prescription. Producing according to this prescription, the percentage of corn starch can be as high as 70%~80%. This broke the record of 50% in domestic market, and made this new invention become world focus. At present, this project has gained 9 technical patents. Appraised by the experts from the State Science and Technology Ministry, its technology is regarded as leading in China, and fill in the gap in domestic market, and it is advanced in international market. This new production line has been listed as ¡°State Level Important & New Product¡±, ¡°State Level Torch Plan Project¡±. It is awarded ¡°The Star of Green Product¡± by China Environment Production Industry Association.

It is report that now in China, the price of the products made by this production line is almost the same with Styrofoam ones. Because of bio-degradable feature, it has the advantage to eliminate the Styrofoam products out of the market. And now, the products made by this production line have been exported to many countries such as Japan, Korea, Canada, Singapore, Russia, Mexico, etc.
